1469450 Collapsible pushchairs CLOWES BAG CO Ltd 30 Oct 1975 [12 Dec 1974] 53710/74 Heading B7B A collapsible pushchair comprises a horizontal substantially rectangular rigid base frame 1 mounted on wheels 3; a back frame formed by two upstanding rods 6 pivoted on brackets 7 on the base frame 1; a substantially U-shaped seat supporting frame 12 pivoted on the back frame at 13; a combined fabric seat and back rest 15, 17 mounted on the U-shaped frame 12 and back frame 6; links 9, 10 and 14 pivotally connecting the base frame 1 to the back frame 6 and U- shaped frame 12, respectively; a retractable hood frame 21 carrying a fabric hood 18 and pivoted to the back frame 6 to extend over the seat; and handles 8 formed by forward bending of the upper ends of the back frame rods 6. Toggles 11 in the links 9, 10 and toggles in pivoted links 22 supporting the hood frame 21 may be disengaged to allow the chair to collapse by folding down the back frame 6 until substantially horizontal.
