Abstract
917,166. Collapsible vehicles. LINES BROS. Ltd. Sept. 29, 1961 [Dec. 28, 1960], No. 44468/60. Class 108(1). A detachable perambulator body comprises a rigid base 2, having stiffeners 7, 8, connected by flexible material to an upper frame 1 comprising inverted metal channels welded at the corners of the body. The side members of the upper frame have integral depending metal skirts 13 which are bent outwardly so that in the erected position of the body the fabric is bent outwardly to resemble the appearance of a coach-built body. The upper and lower frames are held in spaced relationship by U-shaped rods pivoted to the upper frame at 32 and engaging spring clips 33 secured to the stiffeners 8. When the body is collapsed the upper frame completely encloses the lower frame. Specification 917,165 is referred to.
