Abstract

1407834 Battery boxes ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 22 Sept 1972 [24 Sept 1971] 43933/72 Heading H1B Battery cases 11, 12, 13 of a thermoplastics material are joined together to form a battery of a desired size by preforming the abutting walls 113, 121, 123, 131 to produce a duct into which a thermoplastics material 15 in molten slab may be injected. In the embodiment of Fig. 3 the walls such as 113, 121 are preformed with a groove 151, 152, respectively and the duet may have the shape shown in Fig. 5. Recesses and projections 18b, 18a locate the eases which are clamped together until the material 15 has hardened. In another ernbodiment, Fig. 4, abutting walls 30, 33 are formed, respectively, with a groove 31 and a tongue 32 which does not fill the groove to provide a duct for the injection of thermoplastics material 34.
