1,130,236. Continuous casting moulds. CENTRALNY NAUCHNO-ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUT TCHORNOY METALLOURGIY "I. P. BARDINE ". 28 June, 1966 [8 July, 1965; 25 Feb., 1966], No. 28936/66. Heading B3F. A continuous casting mould for casting slabs of substantially rectangular cross-section comprises two narrow faces and two wide faces, the inner surfaces of the narrow faces having a convex shaped portion at least in the middle part thereof which is directed towards the interior of the mould. The convex portion is joined to the wide faces by concave shaped portions. The convex portion may be curved or formed by a plurality of successive plane surfaces.
