Abstract

1407799 Shoring trenches J BAXTER & SONS (CONTRACTORS) LTD 23 Nov 1972 [6 Jan 1972] 633/72 Heading E1E A method of shoring a trench 1 comprises the steps of driving in piles 2, 3 at regularly spaced intervals and then as the trench is excavated interconnecting adjacent piles by planks 4 which are secured to the piles by clamps 6 tightened as by means of screws or wedges 9. The piles 2, 3 are flanged to engage with the clamps 6 and may be modified as shown at 12, 13, 14 and 15 to accommodate corner joints.
