Abstract

1396028 Shores for trenches K MARX and Z SANDBRANDNISIPEANU 28 Dec 1972 [7 March 1972] 59806/72 Heading E1E A shore for a trench comprises an adjustable framework 1, 1a, 2, 3, 4 having on each of the outermost faces thereof an inflatable envelope adapted to accommodate itself to the contours of the associated wall of the trench. The sides 2 of the framework constitutes a grid structure and the envelope 5, which may be transparent, is subdivided by cross-pieces 5b to define a series of chambers 5a interconnected pneumatically to one another. The walls of the trench may also be sprayed with a stabilizing means such as bitumen emulsion or cement and may also be covered with a foil applied thereto by spring-loaded rollers for details of which, Fig. 3 (not shown), should be referred to.
