1,119,450. Stabilizing the walls of trenches. BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDER'S CONSTRUCTION CO. Ltd. 21 March, 1967 [21 Dec., 1965], No. 54014/65. Heading EIH. The wall of a trench is stabilized by dropping a longitudinally flexible but transversely rigid curtain thereagainst, driving an inclined stake into the base of the trench adjacent the foot of the curtain, drawing the stake into engagement with the curtain and then securing same into position. For details of the curtain, cross-bracing and anchoring, as by pickets 3, the Specification should be referred to.
