Abstract

1407769 Clamping devices ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 8 Nov 1973 [11 Nov 1972] 51929/73 Heading E2B [Also in Division F2] A releasable latching device for a longitudinally movaible part, such as a slide valve member 13, comprises at least one circularly rounded latching member 27 which is movable into a recess 24 in an element 21, fixed with respect to a housing 11 of the device, by the member 13 and by a member 28 loaded by a spring 39. The member 28 has at least one flank 31 which, in a latched position of the member 13, forces the member 27 into the recess so as to retain the member 13 in the latched position; a first region 32 of the flank 31 which engages the member 27 in the latched position forms an angle 34 with the axis of the member 13 which angle is smaller than the angle 35 which a second region 33 of the flank, that is arranged to engage the member 27 in its released postion, forms with the said axis. As shown, balls 27, or rollers, connect together a pin 28, formed with an annular latching groove 29, and the member 13, the latter when moved to the right as seen in Fig 1 and by a lever 16 being latched to the element 21, the balls being moved radially through the bores 26 and into an annular groove 24 in the element 21. The flanks of the groove 29 may, alternatively, be formed with a curved path.
