Abstract
1406126 Hydraulic door opener BESAM AB 2 Feb 1973 5359/73 Heading E2M A door opener comprises a rotary hydraulic motor powered by a pump 3, which is driven by a motor 2 controlled by an actuator (48), Fig. 2 (not shown), the hydraulic motor having a rotary shaft 8 which is operationally connected both with door engaging means 46, Fig. 3, and with a door closing spring 15, and conduits 29, 31, 28 forming a closed hydraulic circuit from the pump 3 to the hydraulic motor to a liquid reservoir constituted by transmission casing 5 and spring housing 14, and back to the pump. The rotary hydraulic motor comprises a cylinder 7 and a vane 9 secured to the shaft 8. The spring 15 acts on a shaft 18 driven by the shaft 8 through gears 23, 24 and connected by levers 39, 40, 41, 43 and 44 to a shaft 34 carrying a socket with a transverse groove 46 for engaging a door. The door opener is secured to a frame 1 and is mounted beneath a floor 47. In a modification, Figs. 4, 5 (not shown) for mounting on a wall (59) above a door (51), the cylinder 7 and the spring housing 14 are coaxial and the closing spring 15 acts directly on the shaft (54) of the hydraulic motor. The motor 2 is preferably electric and is controlled, by means of the actuator (48) through a time delay relay (49); alternatively a pneumatic motor may be used.
