Abstract

1404347 Knitting machines SCHUBERT & SALZER MASCHINENFABRIK AG 25 Aug 1972 [28 Aug 1971] 39809/72 Heading D1C In a knitting machine for knitting pile fabric (Fig. 1) the pile loop sinkers 30 are drawn back quickly to produce the pile by a lever 40 operated by a cam element 4 acting on a butt 37. The sinker is moved forward using a conventional cam element 61 and a second butt 31. In a modification (Fig. 2) the lever and its associated cam element may be placed below the knocking-over plane E. The pile height may be adjusted by a knob 900 turning a threaded screw 49 to move a slider member 43 and cam element 4 radially, to alter the throw of the lever 40.
