Abstract

140,349. Finnigan, W., and Rodgers, R. A. Jan. 7, 1919. Colour photography.-For the production of colour photographs, two negatives are simultaneously exposed without the use of any colour filters, the negatives having their emulsion surfaces in contact, and the front negative being taken on an ordinary sensitive plate or film and the rear negative on to panchromatic plate or film. In the case of Kinematograph films, the two films are fed synchronously through the gate. From the negative on the front ordinary plate, a positive is pointed and toned to a pink-red tint, and from the negative on the panchromatic plate a positive is printed and toned to a blue-green tint. The two positives are superposed in register. Alternatively. the blue-green positive print may be resuscitated and a second print in superposition made from the negative on the ordinary plate or film and toned to a pink-red tone. For the panchromatic plate, a bath containing pinacyanol, pinaverdol, and fuschine may be used. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 134,238.
