306,328. Soc., Anon. Splendicolor, and Didier, L. J. B. April 25, 1928. Drawings to Specification. Colour photography.-Tricolour photographs or kinematograph pictures are produced on a film sensitized on one side as with a silver gelatinobromide layer, and coated on the other side with a layer of plain gelatin, by printing on the sensitized side a positive image as from a colourrecord negative made with an orange-red filter and toning this image blue, sensitizing the gelatin layers on both sides with alkaline bichromate and printing simultaneously thereon from opposite sides images from positives made as from colourrecord negatives produced respectively with blueviolet and green filters, washing the film and allowing it to dry, and colouring the two images printed in the bichromated gelatin by moistening the layers and applying simultaneously thereto two strips of paper coated with gelatin layers containing respectively a yellow dyestuff and a green dyestuff of the pinatype class capable of being absorbed by unhardened gelatin but rejected by hardened gelatin. The colouring strips are finally removed, and the film is allowed to dry.
