Universal couplings.-In a universal coupling for the shafts of turbines &c., trunnions H on one shaft F engage a ring or the like J, which may be in two parts bolted together and is provided with two trunnions L seated in blocks M. The blocks M are movable in longitudinal undercut guides E in a cylindrical housing D on the other shaft A. An oil-retaining ring 0 may be provided.
