Abstract

1396049 Coating device W KUENY 28 Feb 1973 [17 March 1972] 9737/73 Heading D1L [Also in Division B2] A pouring head for use in producing a controlled curtain of liquid for dyeing or dressing of leather or other materials comprises a channel formed by a L-shaped rail 1, a pouring lip formed by a cylindrical rod 2 fastened by screws 3 to the lower free end of the rail 1, a strip 7 mounted on cover 4 above the rod 2 to form an outlet to the pouring channel and means including feed pipe 6 for feeding liquid to the pouring channel, the cylindrical rod 2 being mounted so that the outlet is approximately 5mm above the floor of the channel and the strip 7 being displaceable relative to the rod 2 to regulate the width of the outlet by at least two eccentric discs 8 engaging at spaced locations along the strip in grooves formed therein. As illustrated each disc 8 is mounted eccentrically on a shaft 9 which is rotatably mounted on cover 4 by nuts 10 and 11, washer 12 and retaining disc 13. A lever 14a is mounted via internally splined cap 14 on the splined end of each shaft 9 to effect displacement of the strip 7 towards and away from rod 2.
