Abstract

1395567 Clamps LICENTIA PATENTVERWALTUNGS-GmbH 2 Oct 1992 [2 Oct 1971] 45381/72 Heading E2B An attachment for attaching an electrical device to a rail having coplanar lateral flanges comprises a plate 1 having lugs 5, 6 for engagement over one of the flanges and lugs 8, 9 having chamfers for engaging the free edge of the other flange whereby to force the rail into engagement with the lugs 5, 6 when the plate and rail are clamped one against the other, a securing element, a slide 14 engageable with the plate so as by engagement over the other flange to effect the clamping of the plate on the rail. The slide 14 is guided between two pressed out strips 11, 12 of the plate and has an opening 15 whereby a screw driver may be inserted between an edge of the opening and the strip 11 and then turned causing the slide to move and the end portion to engage and clamp the edge of the other flange. The slide has pressed out bulges 18 which engage an edge of an aperture below the strip 12 to retain the slide on the plate. The plate has holes 3, 4 for securing appliances such as electrical switchgear thereto.
