Abstract

A mounting for attaching pipework to a surface comprises a base 2, an open ended band 5 integral with the base and a separate closing device having near one end two spaced abutments 13, 14 for selectively engaging one end of the band and tightening means at its other end for engaging the other end of the band and adapted to be tightened to a limited extent to clamp the band around a portion of the pipework. As shown, the closing device is a bolt 8 and a nut 12, the tightening of which is limited by a cross-piece 18. The abutments 13, 14 and the cross-piece 18 engage the band with a line contact and the whole mounting is moulded from a plastics material.
