Abstract

1393871 Ventilators COLT INTERNATIONAL Ltd 26 May 1972 [2 June 1971] 18558/71 Heading F4V A roof or wall mounted ventilator comprises a base 10 having a wall 12 defining a rectangular opening 14, channel members 15 welded to the base on opposite sides of the opening 14 and a body portion 20 removably secured to the flanges 15c of the members 15 which are most remote from the wall 12. The channel members 15 act as rain traps with one end of each member projecting through an opening in the portion 20. Alternatively, the portion may include drain openings. The base 10 is formed by welding together four roll-formed parts or by slitting and bending a single roll-formed part and welding on corner pieces. A base flange 11 may be shaped to co-operate with the configuration of the wall or roof cladding.
