Abstract
1393485 Expansion pipe joints HOOGOVENS IJMUIDEN BV 29 Aug 1973 [1 Sept 1972] 40576/73 Heading F2G In a bellows expansion arrangement, e.g. for the hot air blast to a blast furnace tuyere 4, cooling fluid may circulate or water may boil in the space 18 between the walls 12 and 19. Bellows 13, 14, 16 and 17 permit relative longitudinal movement of rigid end sections, the gaps between the refractory linings of parts 15 being filled with compressible fibrous refractory material. A protective sheath 22 is rigidly secured to an end section at one end and slidably mounted between stops 23 at the other.
