Abstract

1393262 Feeding sheets FUJI XEROX CO Ltd 13 April 1972 [13 April 1971] 17172/72 Heading B8R A pile 22 of sheets are separated from the top by rollers 24 located in a fixed position, and the pile is pressed upwards against the rollers by a lifter 4 raised by chains 11 connected to tension springs 12 which are attached to a slider 13 adjustable by a handle 19 along a horizontal groove 14 so as to adjust the tension of the springs, the arrangement being such that as the weight of the pile decreases, the tension of the spring decreases in comparision as the lifter rises, to maintain the pressure against the rollers constant. The handle is adjusted according to the weight of the sheets and pressure derived.
