Abstract
1392533 Spheroidal graphite iron INSTYTUT ODLEWNICTWA 2 May 1972 [3 June 1971 ] 20417/72 Headings C7A and C7D Iron containing in percentage by weight:- Si 3.7 -4.4. Mn -0.6 P -0.12 Cu -0.3 Ni -0.3 Cr -0.2 balance iron, carbon and impurities is produced by adding a spheroidizing agent to an iron of appropriate composition except for silicon, followed by addition of silicon up to the desired level. Preferably the silicon addition amounts to 1.5-2.5%.
