Abstract

1392109 Endless conveyer systems WINDMOLLER & HOLSCHER 17 Nov 1972 [7 Dec 1971] 53291/72 Heading B8A Stacks LF of flattened tube sections on a conveyer 1<SP>1</SP> leading from a bag making machine (not shown), and stacks KF on a conveyer 3<SP>1</SP> leading from another machine, are normally conveyed respectively to conveyers 2<SP>1</SP> and 4<SP>1</SP> leading to bag closure machines. However by lowering pivotally mounted endless conveyers 32 and 34 to the positions shown in dot-dash lines, the conveyer 1<SP>1</SP> may be connected to the conveyer 4<SP>1</SP>, and the conveyer 3<SP>1</SP> may be connected to the conveyer 2<SP>1</SP>. In a modification (Figs. 1 and 2), a conveyer 1 is normally connected to a conveyer 2, and a conveyer 3 is normally connected to a conveyer 4. When a lift 5 device is moved downwards to the position shown in dot-dash lines (Fig. 2), the conveyer 1 is connected to conveyer 4 and conveyer 3 is connected to conveyer 2. In a further modification (Figs. 4-6, not shown), the arrangement of Figs. 7 and 8 is modified by the provision of a lift device (5<SP>1</SP>) similar to the device 5 of Figs. 1 and 2. The device (5<SP>1</SP>) is connected by a cable to one of the pivotable conveyers (19), so that the latter and the device (5<SP>1</SP>) are forced to move in unison.
