1391095 Hinges I H W ENG Ltd 7 Aug 1973 [12 Aug 1972] 37692/72 Heading E2F In a door hinge comprises a first hinge flap 1 which fits into a second hinge flap 2 each adapted to be secured to a door or vehicle body respectively, a cylinder 4 having cam surfaces or grooves G1-G4 on its inner surface is secured to and movable with the second flap 2 by means of a castellation 17 on the cam fitting into a recess 18 on an upper hinge member of the second hinge flap 2, a housing 3 containing a spring-and-roller assembly 7 and R 1 , R 2 is moveable with and secured to the first hinge flap 1 such that with the spring-and-roller assembly the respective rollers are arranged to engage a respective groove G1-G4 in the housing in a door closed, a door open and a check position of the door intermediate the dooropen and door-closed position.
