Abstract

1390642 Animal holding appliances JOHN H TAYLOR Ltd 18 April 1973 [21 April 1972] 18589/72 Heading A5R A cattle-handling pen comprising two side frames 1, an entry door 2 and an exit door 3, has a yoke assembly 4 consisting of two parallel guides 5 secured to the side frames and extending transversely across the pen. Sliding on each guide is a hollow sleeve 6 to which is welded the upper end of a yoke member 7. Each sleeve is pivotally connected to opposite ends of a lever 8 by rods 9. Manual operation of a handle 10 rigidly secured to the lever 8 causes the yoke members 7 to open or close and a releasable catch 11 engages with a slot 12 in one of the sleeves to lock the yoke in the closed position.
