Abstract

138,798. Denny, M. E., and Porterfield, A. June 4, 1919. Cabin and deck lights.-The glass-retaining frame A hinged to a fixed frame C is provided with lugs D having tangenial slots. The hinged bolts E are pivoted on lines radially arranged on the frame C so that when out of use the bolts lie close against the opening. In the case of rectangular lights, the axes of the hinges are at rightangles to the side of the frame. The glass N is retained in place by a ring O held down by screws P passing into boxes M cast inside the frame as shown. The bosses are of slightly less depth than the thickness of the glass. A deadlight Q hinged at B<1> is provided.
