1387839 Thixotropic fertilizers G W DIMMICK 16 Feb 1972 7153/72 Heading ClB A process for manufacturing high analysis grade fertilizers as thixotropic gels comprises adding to an aqueous suspension of a nitrogeneous, potassic or phosphatic fertilizer or a mixture thereof, a surfactant comprising an alkyl arylsulphonic acid or an alkali metal, ammonium or amine salt thereof and a colloidal clay thickening agent in excess of thickening agents present as inherent impurites. A number of other specified fertilizer ingredients and additives may also be present.
