1386615 Shaft collars SOC ANON AUTOMOBILES CITROEN 6 March 1972 [9 March 1971] 10420/72 Heading F2U An end-stop, for locating a rotary, oscillating or stationary shaft in both axial directions in a bore in a housing 4, comprises a circular collar 13, which is passed axially into the bore, moved eccentrically to engage a groove 7 therein, and attached to the shaft end by a screw 12, which prevents exit of the collar from the groove even if slack. Either or both the collar and groove may have a chamfered side to produce wedging in the groove.
