Abstract

1386471 Liquid-dispensing apparatus ALUMASC Ltd 16 April 1973 [17 April 1972] 17586/72 Heading A4T [Also in Division F2] Liquid distributing apparatus for dispensing systems e.g. dispensing beer from a cellar to a bar, comprises a manifold casing 11 having internally a plurality of separated inlets 22 under control of respective valves 23 to a common delivery gallery 26 having one or more outlets 25, the valves being adapted to co-operate with a mechanical selector mechanism for sequential operation, the selector mechanism being adapted for remotely-controlled energization. The valves 23 each have a stem 28 adapted to be engaged by a cam 36 on a disc 35 which is rotated sequentially by a ratchet wheel 33, the latter being indexed by means of a pawl 32 actuated via a solenoid 30, 31. In order to indicate which of the inlets 22 are connected to a particular liquid source e.g. a beer cask, indicator lights 45 are sequentially energized by means of a contact disc 40 mounted on the ratchet wheel 41. The solenoid may be actuated via a push-button 14 or a remote control connected to a socket 46.
