Abstract

[Also in Division F2] A device for intermittently activating the valve 7 of a pressurized dispensing container 8 comprises a lever 4 pivoted on a back plate 1 at 3 and to a second lever 6 at 5 the pivot also carrying an angularly adjustable cam 11 engageable with the valve 7. The end 23 of the lever 4 engages circular surface 18 having a cut-out portion (20) and the end of the lever 6 has a portion 22 engaging a snail cam surface 17, the surfaces 18, 19 being formed on a common member driven by a motor. The levers 4, 6 are drawn together by a spring 14 which is tensioned by rotation of the snail cam. When the end 23 enters the cut-out portion (20) the lever 4 pivots about 3 to actuate the valve 7. When the follower 22 drops down the snail cam surface 19 the lever 6 strikes a stop 25 on the lever 4 to pivot it about 3 and so release the valve 7.
