Abstract

1385589 Mending warp knitted fabrics WIRKMASCHINENBAU KARL - MARX - STADT VEB 13 June 1972 27650/72 Heading D1K Warp knit pile fabrics are repaired by placing the fabric preceding the damage on to a set of knitting needles and feeding two or more yarns 9 thereto to produce a base fabric of which courses are knitted until the damage is reached when at least one pile thread 11 is fed being alternately engaged in the sinker loops of adjacent wales until the end of the damage after which a few more courses of base fabric are knitted. This is carried out on a warp knitting machine with two guide bars and compound needles.
