Abstract
1455380 Knitting WIRKMASCHINENBAU KARL-MARX-STADT VEB 12 Dec 1974 [21 Dec 1973] 53754/74 Headings D1C and D1K A warp-knitting machine with pile sinkers has multiple pile thread guides 9 each associated with a thread selector 13 and laterally movable across two needles so that a fabric can be knitted with laid-in wefts, warp yarns to form pile laid into the warps and pile yarns forming a pattern knitted alternately in two wales. Compound needles 1 to 4 are guided in knocking-over comb 6 and between stationary pile sinkers 8. Guides 9 each have three apertures 11 for threads 18, 19, 20 and are carried on a bar 10 movable vertically and longitudinally of the needles. Thread selectors 13 are located above guide 9 and select which thread 18, 19, 20 will be taken into the wale over the sinker 8. 'To produce a cut plush fabric a cutting device may be associated with the sinkers.
