Abstract
1309165 Knitting ELITEX-ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 21 Aug 1970 [12 Sept 1969] 40298/70 Headings D1C and D1K A warp-knitted fabric comprises two systems of stitches knitted by two systems of needles and inter-connected by wefts. The fabric is made on a machine, Fig. 4, comprising two beds of simultaneously operable needles 1, 2 with slidable latches, each bed being fed with a separate system of yarns 6, 7 from one series 8, 9 of two series 8, 10; 9, 11 of yarn guides. These form two separate fabrics or two separate sets of chains which are held together by laid in wefts 5. The wefts 5, which may be single threads or bundles of threads, are fed into each or some of the courses as they are formed. In another arrangement, Fig. 5, pivoted latch needles are employed and in addition to laid-inwefts, guides 23, 24 lay in warps 25, 26.
