Abstract

1385005 Weft supply-shuttleless looms VEREINIGTE OSTERREICHISCHE EISENUND STAHLWERKE-ALPINE MONTAN AG and ETAB WANDERFIELD & CO 12 July 1973 [27 July 1972] 33349/73 Heading D1E Weft is pulled by a double acting gripper shuttle through a loom width storage tube 2 which has thread sensors at both ends. At the end of picking and severing the inertia of the weft causes it to undulate at the picking end of the tube to provide slack for the next pick. Two tubes are provided for double acting shuttles and more than two may be provided for weft patterning. The tube may be of antistatic lined plastics and may have a loading slot 4 with closures 5.
