Abstract

1383978 Insulated pipelines LOGSTOR RORINDUSTRI AS 18 Oct 1972 [28 Oct 1971] 47989/72 Heading F2P An insulated, e.g. subsoil, pipe assembly comprising a tube 1, insulation 5 and cover 6 is provided with an anchor, the anchor comprising transverse webs 2 welded to the tube 1 and cover members 7 surrounding the webs, the space between the cover members and the webs being filled with insulation material 4 and the cover members having shoulders 8 for transmitting longitudinal loads from the tube 1, via the webs and insulation material 4, to the surroundings or a support. In the embodiment described the inner tube, webs and cover members 7 are of steel (preferably protected against corrosion by a coating of PVC or polyethylene, the insulation material 4, 5 is foamed polyurethane and the cover 6 of PVC. The cover members may be provided with laterally extending struts for embedding in a concrete support.
