Abstract

1383133 Insulating oils MONSANTO CO 5 March 1973 [6 March 1972] 10659/73 Heading C5F [Also in Division H1] An insulating liquid composition for use as a capacitor impregnant comprises a mixture of a diaryl sulphone, a halogen-free aromatic compound and 0À001 to 8% of an epoxide stabilizer. The aryl radicals may be phenyl, naphthyl or indanyl and may each have up to three C 1-8 alkyl substituents. The sulphone may comprise 10 to 80% by weight of the composition. Numerous examples of the halogen-free compound are given.
