Abstract

1383045 Knitting machines ELITEX-ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 9 Feb 1973 [14 Feb 1972] 6600/73 Heading D1C A circular multifeed knitting machine comprises a plurality of freely rotatable coaxial yarn feeding rollers 4, 5, means engaging a group of yarns partly round each roller and clutches 6, 7 between the rollers so that they may be driven at the same speed for plain knitting or may be de-clutched to allow yarns to run at different speeds for run-resist knitting. Rollers 4, 5 are carried on a shaft 1 and have on their facing surfaces friction parts 6, 7, being biassed together by a spring 11 and held apart by a lever 13 for run resist knitting. Each yarn P as it passes round rollers 4 and 5 is controlled by rollers 17 carried on the ends of two levers 16 whose other ends are connected to control means. If a yarn breaks rollers 17 strike a stop 18 which brakes the roller and operates the control to release all the levers.
