Abstract
1382378 Fluid operated actuators BYGGOCH TRANSPORTEKONOMI (BT) AB 19 March 1973 [24 March 1972] 13136/73 Heading F1D When pressure fluid flows through a conduit 21 into an actuator a piston 5, which slides on a tube 2 bearing on the boftom of a working chamber 14, moves rapidly upwards as the fluid passes into a bore 7 through ducts 8, 10. If the resistance to the upward movement of the piston rises to a high enough value for the pressure of the fluid to open a ball-valve 23, fluid flows through a duct 30 into the working chamber 14, closes a valve 19 to prevent fluid returning to a reservoir 16 and raises the piston 5 slowly with greater force. To lower the piston conduit 21 is connected to the reservoir and fluid floes from chamber 14 past valve 11 and through tube 2 and piston 5 to conduit 21.
