Abstract

1380889 Fluid-pressure actuators BYGGOCH TRANSPORTEKONOMI (BT) AB 19 March 1973 [24 March 1972] 13135/73 Heading F1D When fluid flows through a conduit 21 into a cylinder 15 the pistons 5, 6 move upwards rapidly because of the small effective area of the piston 5. If the resistance to the upward movement of the pistons increases to a value greater than the spring- loading on a ball-valve 23, fluid flows through a conduit 30 into a cylinder 14 thus lifting a ball 19 to close off a reservoir 16. The pistons now rise slowly with greater force. To lower the pistons the conduit 21 is connected to the reservoir so that fluid from cylinder 14 can flow through passages 7, 8, 10 into the cylinder 15 and the latter can vent through conduit 21.
