Abstract

1381952 Mattresses &c. J DRANGER and J HULDT 4 April 1972 [8 April 1971] 15293/72 Heading A4M A furniture unit for sitting or lying on comprises a deformable, air permeable casing 4, 5 defining the shape of the unit and a plurality of inflatable or liquid fillable deformable elements 1 removably enclosed by the casing, the elements 1 being in direct abutment with adjacent said elements 1 and being free from attachment to the casing. The casing comprising a layer 4 of foamed plastics and a layer 5 of fabric and includes a closable opening through which the elements 1 may be passed. The elements 1 may be cylindrical and of p.v.c. and are provided with a filler valve 2.
