1380787 Rotary I C engines TOYO KOGYO CO Ltd 28 June 1972 [29 June 1971] 30353/72 Heading F 1F A rotary internal combustion engine comprises a housing 1 formed by a central housing 2 flanked by side housings 3 which have water-cooled passages 9, 10 crossing the abutting surfaces of the housing parts, only a part or part of these abutting surfaces being treated with high carbon steel to make them more wear-resistant, said high carbon steel being sprayed on, and said part or parts including an area 7 subtending at least 60 degrees at the centre of the drive-shaft and including the projection parallel to the drive-shaft axis of a hole for an ignition plug.
