Abstract

1380743 Strain gauges LEO GOTTWALD K G 10 April 1972 [21 April 1971] 16445/72 Addition to 1364323 Heading G1M [Also in Division B8] The tension rod 32 of the strain gauge in the crane safety device (see Group B8) of the parent Specification 1364323 is mounted by sets of links 21, 22 and 23, 24 to allow the device to function independently of temperature changes. A lever 17, pivoted at 16, transmits the movement in the rod 32 to a sensing unit of the safety device by way of a cable 15. The rod 32 is pre-stressed as in the parent case and an adjustment screw 34 is provided, the links 23, 24 also being adjustable.
