Abstract

In a strain gauged cantilever beam force transducer, the beam 10, 16, 18 is adjustable angularly about its axis so that, for a given force, the strain gauge output can be varied according to the beam setting. The portion 10 of the beam is clamped between two mounting blocks 12, 14 and the load is applied by means of a hook 19 seated in a groove 20 of the portion 18 of the beam. Two or more preferably four strain gauges 1, 2 are mounted on the portion 16 of the beam. <IMAGE>
