1380342 Flanging BENJAMIN OAKES & CO Ltd 19 Jan 1973 [19 Jan 1972] 2480/72 Addition to 1268769 Heading B3Q The press of the parent Specification 1,268,769 is improved by a crank or cam or rack-andpinion drive for producing the relative movement between the work-gripper body 24 and the saddle comprising the gripper-release abutment 16 and the toolholder 20. As shown, the press is similar to that described in the parent Specification 1,268,769 except for the drive and a lug 12 by which the saddle is held in a vice. A pinion, cam or (as shown) a crank-shaft 46 in the saddle is connected to an adjustable coupling in the body 24 by a connecting rod 54 in the case of the crank-shaft. The coupling consists of a differential screw 68 engaging threads in the body 24 and a slide 60 driven by the connecting rod. A hand lever is connected to one end of the crank-shaft.
