Abstract

1379702 Seal strips HOUGH MFG CORP 10 Jan 1973 [20 Jan 1972] 1363/73 Heading E1J The top and bottom edges of a panel formed of channel sections 38 are sealed by an elongate, resilient, arched member 62 having its longitudinal edges engaged in complementary edge portions 52, 54 of the channel and having two flaps 168, 170 diverging from the centre of the arch and respectively slidably engaging opposite sides 80, 82 of the channel 38 such that the resilience of the seal permits it to take up variations in the gap between the panels bottom and the floor. The panels may be pivoted together at their edges to form a foldable partition. One of the panels may form a door in the partition, the adjacent panel being anchorable to the floor to stabilize the door by a shoe 280 vertically movable by a linkwork 81 to press the seal 62 against the floor.
