Abstract

1376455 Headsets S G BROWN COMMUNICATIONS Ltd 19 March 1973 [20 Dec 1971] 59192/71 Heading H4J [Also in Division H2] In a headset having two earpieces each including a receiver transducer, at least one transducer assembly is detachably securable in a holder, the transducer being coupled to wiring on the headset via co-operating electrical contacts on the holder and assembly respectively. As shown the assembly 21 is held in the holder by a spring clip 31 and electric connection is effected via contacts 29, 30. Alternatively the assembly may be held in the holder by magnets on the assembly or holder co-operating with magnets or ferro-electric elements on the other member. The magnets may be electrically conductive and utilized to form the electric connections. The fixed transducer may be part of a radio receiver and the removable transducer part of an intercommunication system.
