An electro-acoustic transducer, such as a telephone transmitter or receiver, has a cylindrical clamping ring 18 of thermoplastics insulating material which has its two ends 183 and 182 formed over the front and back covers 20, 12 respectively of the transducer. The diaphragm 14 is located on a flange 181 of the clamping ring 18 which has an outwardly extending rib 184 (or ribs, not shown) in which the transducer terminals 21 are secured.
