Abstract

1375729 Oven door window units MILLS PRODUCTS Inc 9 Nov 1971 [18 March 1971] 52001/71 Heading A4D A window-assembly 10 for an oven door comprises two parallel glass panels 12, 14 secured against a continuous spacer 16 by a clamping frame 18 surrounding the peripheral edges of the panels, and a safety screen 42 comprising a flat sheet with apertures 44 therethrough throughout its entire area except at marginal portions, the screen being removably located in spaced parallel relation to the outer panel 12 by engagement of projections 46 in slots 40 in a trim-strip, or by engagement of projections 46 in slots (66), Figs. 3, 4 (not shown), in an inturned flange (62) of an outer door panel (58). The frame 18 may have a liner 22 of, for example, asbestos, and a seal 28 of, for example, asbestos may be provided between the frame 18 and an inner trim-strip 26.
