Abstract

1,015,834. Inspection windows for ovens. MILLS PRODUCTS Inc. Feb. 17, 1964 [Sept. 24, 1963], No. 6476/64. Heading A4D. In a doubled glazed window for an oven door, the space between the panes 14 and 16 is sealed against moisture by an aluminium foil tape 20, secured by a silicone pressure sensitive adhesive, and the panes are located in a rigid peripheral frame 10 by a continuous hollow spacer member 12 enclosing a charge of desiccant 18 such as silica gel. The silicone adhesive is capable of withstanding a temperature of 55‹F. The flanged edge 34 of the inner oven door panel 24 clamps on to a silicone rubber gasket 22 and the join is covered by a trim moulding 40.
