1375379 Converting MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 22 Dec 1971 [28 Dec 1970 (2)] 59745/71 Heading H2F A circuit for determining the conduction angle of current in a load 10 from an alternating source 13 comprises an insulated-gate negative resistance element 9 having its insulated-gate 8 connected to the junction of a variable resistor 11 and further impedance 17 connected in a series circuit across the alternating supply 13. The capacitor 17 may be replaced by a resistor (Fig. 3, not shown). The conduction angle is stated to be variable over a range of 180 degrees.
