Abstract

137,381. Hirshstein, J. Jan. 17, 1919. Road surface boxes. -Consists in an adjustable connexion for pipes, rods, and other parts which are non- alined, comprising two relatively rotatable members, each provided with a part eccentric to the common axis of rotation and adapted to be connected to one of the pipes &c. The eccentricities may be equal, so that the device may be used for pipes &c. in alinement, or, by relative rotation, adjusted to any degree of non-alinement within the limits of the device. Fig. 6<a> shows the application to connecting a grate 36 with a trap 39. The members 45, 46 screw together and are provided with eccentric threaded surfaces engaging with threaded parts of the trap and grate.
