1372887 Tractors 'C VAN DER LELY NV 28 Oct 1971 [30 Oct 1970] 16053/74 Divided out of 1372886 Headings B7H and B7B In an agricultural or other tractor having steerable front wheels 7, driven rear wheels 8 which are larger than the front wheels, and a cabin 16, the cabin floor 20 is located between the front and rear wheels 7, 8 on one side of the tractor. An engine 27 located in an engine compartment 17 alongside the cabin 16 has an output shaft 28 connected by gearing in a transmission box 30 to a gear-box in the central portion 2A of a longitudinal frame beam 2. Power take-off shafts 15, 29 and two-point lifting devices 31, 32 are provided at both ends of the tractor. The cabin has a tubular frame 16A and the cabin roof, which has a larger area than the floor, includes a retractable panel 123. The upper two thirds of the cabin walls are formed of toughened glass 19 and the remainder of metal sheets. In another embodiment, Fig. 6 (not shown), part of the engine compartment is located over the gear-box, and part of the cabin is located over the engine compartment.
